JobScore is a proud Gold LinkedIn Talent Solutions integration partner.  When you share feedback, we pass it on to LinkedIn.  We’re happy to report some of your feedback was addressed, and changes are now live:

You said: LinkedIn wasn’t matching JobScore candidates with LinkedIn profiles as often as it should.

LinkedIn now uses more information from JobScore candidate records to make matches, including LinkedIn profile URLs, the most recent employer, and the most recent job title.  This means you won’t manually connect records by looking up records as frequently.

You said: We want to use LinkedIn Apply Connect on all our jobs.

Apply Connect now works on all of your jobs because LinkedIn added support for click-through agreements and OFCCP questionnaires.

You said: We’d like to have additional information on candidates exported from LinkedIn Recruiter to JobScore.

Subject to LinkedIn member settings, exported candidate records now include the candidates’ two most recent employers & job titles, as well as their education history.

You said: We want to see a list of recommendations for each job instead of reviewing them one by one.

The recommendations widget now shows 25 candidates at a time.

Please let us know in our ideas forum if you have any thoughts on how LinkedIn’s Talent Solutions integrations could be even better.

Happy Hiring!

We’ve modernized JobScore to make it more attractive, dynamic, and faster. The new user experience is now available for all JobScore customers in open beta. To try it, click the “Try the new UX” button on the left side of your screen:

Button to toggle to the new user experience in JobScore

To switch back, hover over the paint brush icon at the top of the screen and select the “Back to legacy UX” menu option:

How to switch back to the JobScore legacy user experience

You control whether the navigation appears on the left or top, and whether to use the light or dark version:

Switch between multiple custom themes in JobScore recruiting software

If you prefer JobScore’s original look and feel, select the classic version. The new user experience is responsive, so it dynamically adjusts when you change the width of your browser window:

JobScore responsive user experience with expanding navigation and columns

Like Gmail, it’s also a “single page application” with subtle transition animations, loading patterns, drawers, and more:

JobScore user experience updates as a single page application

All of the most used pages in JobScore work in the new user experience, but you’ll occasionally come across pages we haven’t migrated yet.

While you can switch back to the legacy version now, we plan to end-of-life it in 2023. Please try the new user experience and share your thoughts when you have a chance.

Facebook is sunsetting partner support for the “Jobs on Facebook” program on February 22, 2022 (the official announcement is here). Here’s the bottom line:

  • JobScore can no longer send your jobs to Facebook, so we are sunsetting that job posting option.
  • It’s now impossible for job seekers on Facebook to send their information to any third-party recruiting software, including JobScore.
  • Employers can now only consume job application information by logging into Facebook or by email.

These changes are not unique to JobScore, they are true for every partner. If you’d like to keep using Jobs on Facebook, here’s how to do that:

  • Employers in the United States and Canada can still post jobs.
  • Facebook page admins will need to log in and manually add each job on this page.
  • People who find your jobs will apply using a form hosted by Facebook (that you’ll need to customize for each job you add)
  • Facebook page admins who log in can click “manage jobs” to see applicants or choose to receive applications by email. (instructions are here)
  • If you want to track these applicants in JobScore, cut-and-paste their data into the Add Candidate page. Customers on the scale and enterprise plans can also add candidates by forwarding Facebook’s emails to your resume inbox. (details here)

JobScore has been working with Facebook on its jobs initiative since 2017. We are disappointed because we feel these changes make life more difficult for most employers, and make Facebook Jobs borderline unusable for organizations who need to meet federally mandated EEO and OFCCP compliance requirements and/or diversity, equity & inclusion goals.

We hope that Facebook revisits some of its decisions in the future and makes it easier for employers to leverage the world’s largest social network to efficiently meet their hiring goals.

After shipping integrations with Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, we’re wrapping up
our video conferencing integrations with Zoom – which turned out to be the best of the bunch.  We’re so excited about
the Zoom integration we created a video to showcase how it works:

Like our Google Meet and Microsoft Teams integrations, the Zoom integration creates meeting links and inserts them
into calendar events and emails.  You can see a full rundown in our helpcenter article on how to
schedule interviews with video conferencing
.

The Zoom integration can take things to a new level by recording interviews and then showing links to video
recordings, audio recordings and audio transcriptions on candidate records.

Excited?  Read our article about Zoom Interview recording.  Dig it?  Admins can install the Zoom integration here or read the installation instructions.

Happy Hiring!

I imagine all of you are caught up in the juggernaut of the coronavirus pandemic. As a valued customer, I wanted to share a few things with you:

JobScore has always been a remote-work-friendly company. We’re all productively working from home now – and we’re ready to help. As work from home veterans, please don’t hesitate to hit us for tips and tricks if remote work is new for your team.

While asking everyone to stay home, practice social distancing and follow the CDC guidelines I shared a story that our team really liked. They asked me to pass it along, so here it goes:

My brother in law is a medical doctor. He also has a master’s degree in public health. Above and beyond the standard advice, he shared something very wise:

  1. Focus on having a strong immune system. Table stakes are to get plenty of sleep, eat right and exercise. This seemed obvious, but then things got real. He said:
  2. Too much stress weakens your immune system. That’s right – worrying gives you a greater chance of getting sick.
  3. Laughter strengthens your immune system. So, one of the best ways you can fight off the virus is with quality guffaws.

As “people people” involved in recruiting we encourage you to find ways to laugh & be lighthearted – because it’s good for you and those around you. We’re trying to do that ourselves. As confidants and councilors, we encourage you to help your coworkers and loved ones reduce their stress levels… and if there’s any way we can help you laugh or de-stress, please let us know.

Relax and laugh because of coronavirus & covid 19 related stress

So what’s next?

We’ve been thinking about how recruiting will change in the current environment. We’ve already prioritized projects to promote work from home job opportunities and make it easier to schedule video calls. That said, we’d love to hear from you at emailtheceo@jobscore.com about how recruiting is changing at your organization and what we can do to make things easier.

Happy hiring and take care of yourselves!

Forward Candidate is one of the oldest pages in JobScore. The page is not widely used, but those of you who do use it, love it… and have been asking us to make a few improvements for a while. Your primary requests are:

  1. Forward candidate templates that pre-populate text to use at different stages of the hiring process.
  2. Forwarding candidates to your team with one click… the same way you can auto-send emails to candidates… which would bypass the form entirely.

We’re delivering on these great ideas by doing something… unexpected: we removed the forward candidate page entirely. This is because adding a note and including your teammates in the “email note to” area does exactly the same thing as the forward candidate page… you just choose the recipients at the bottom of the add note area instead of the top of the forward candidate page, like this:

Forward Candidate and Add Note pages side by side

Adding notes on the candidate action page is also more powerful because you can update the candidate’s stage, add tags, schedule interviews and email the candidate as the same time, so you can click less and do more.

The improvements? Notes already have their own templates, so request # 1? Done! The second request, auto-sending candidates to your team, is being delivered as part of our major Workflow Templates release, which is in open beta now. Here’s how folks in the beta can forward a candidate to a teammate with one click:

How to auto-send a candidate to a team member using the JobScore Action Menu and Workflow Templates

You can also select multiple candidates and forward them all at once. If you want to use this auto-send feature right now, please email support@jobscore.com and ask to join the Workflow Templates beta.

Fear not! The forward candidate option is still shown on the candidate action menu for everyone. However, when you click it you’ll be prompted to add a note and will be shown a message explaining that the forward page has been retired. Here’s what the message looks like:

Add Note with a warning message explaining how to forward a candidate

Once the warning is dismissed, the forward candidate option will be removed from the menu and your team will need to select the “Add Note” option to start conversations about candidates.

Happy Hiring!

JobScore and Zapier are now integrated. Here’s why that’s cool:

Zapier is a powerful integration platform, it’s the glue that connects more than 1,000 different web apps together.  The integration possibilities with Zapier are limitless, here are a few examples of cool things you can do with Zapier today:

  • When a job is opened in JobScore, automatically share it on Twitter
  • When a new candidate applies to one of my jobs, send a notification to a channel in Slack
  • When a candidate is moved to a specific stage, ask them to complete an assessment in TypeForm
  • When a candidate is hired, start an onboarding checklist using Process Street.
  • When an interview task is scheduled, create a task in Asana, Trello or Jira

What are you waiting for? Create your first zap today, it’s both fun and free >>

Starting today, job seekers will no longer be able to import their profile to apply for a job on JobScore. Our Import with LinkedIn feature helped set an industry standard: it’s been live since 2008 and has been used by nearly half a million job seekers!

Here’s what’s up:

We’ve formalized and are extending our relationship to become a LinkedIn Talent Solutions partner. To become a partner they asked that we take down “Import with LinkedIn” but shared customers with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or Job Slots contracts will see some cool new features in the 2nd half of 2018 including:

  • The official “Apply with LinkedIn plugin” which will replace “Import with LinkedIn”
  • The ability to see “Apply Starters” in LinkedIn Recruiter – which are LinkedIn visitors who started to apply for a job on JobScore using the Apply with LinkedIn Plugin but did not finish
  • Recruiter System Connect, which streamlines the workflow between JobScore and LinkedIn Recruiter

We’re sorry to see “Import with LinkedIn” go, but are excited to make life even easier for our shared customers by extending our partnership.

We’ve been working with customers who do business in the European Union to meet their GDPR compliance obligations prior to the May 25, 2018 deadline.

We’ve just updated our articles on how JobScore is helping employers prepare for the GDPR and our GDPR checklist for recruiters and HR. We also just launched a self service GDPR compliance feature that requires just 3 things:

  • A link to your recruitment data privacy notice
  • Where candidates should email to access, erase or rectify information
  • The # of months you want to retain candidate data
Logo of GDPR

Here’s what the feature looks like:

GDPR inside ATS

Add this information and you’ll be good-to-go for GDPR recruitment data privacy on May 25th.
If this prompts any questions, please email gdpr@jobscore.com & we’ll be happy to help out.
