JobScore includes the ability to bulk import resumes. We recently added the capability to bulk import candidates from spreadsheets. (.csv files)

To get started visit the bulk import candidates page and select a .csv file. Then choose whether you want to assign imported candidates to jobs, add tags, and set their source:

Bulk import candidates page

When JobScore is finished importing candidates from the spreadsheet you’ll be sent an email notification with the number of candidates added, duplicate candidates skipped, and rows that couldn’t be imported.

Bulk import email notification alert

The email also includes a link to view the list of imported candidates, so you can easily bulk email them:

JobScore supports the standard LinkedIn connection and ZoomInfo contact .csv file formats. We also support a proprietary “JobScore Import” file format that you can tweak to add data from any source. Download a sample import file here and read the help center article about importing candidates for more details.

Through 12/31/2024 JobScore employers that enter the promo code “jobscore50” will have a $50 credit applied to their first invoice. The promotion is only valid for JobScore customers signing up for a new Checkr account.

We just launched an integration with Checkr, a leading background check provider. Here’s how it works:

Get started from the Checkr integration page in JobScore. You can either connect your existing Checkr account or create a new one:

Installing Checkr integration

Checkr provides many different background check products including criminal background checks, employment verification, drug testing, and more.  If you don’t like the options that appear in JobScore by default, log into your Checkr account, adjust your packages and everything will automatically update in JobScore.

Once connected you can kick off a background check from the More Actions card on the candidate action page:

Kicking off a background check from the More Actions section on Candidate Action page

Checkr will send a link to the candidate asking them to enter the necessary information to start the background check.  You can track progress in JobScore on the actions tab of the candidate’s record:

Pending background check on View Candidate page

When the background check is complete, a link to view the results will be shown on the actions tab of the candidate’s record:

Completed background check on View Candidate page

You can also add Checkr packages to your workflow so it’s crystal clear what’s supposed to happen when:

Assigning a background check to a workflow stage

Filtering and reporting on jobs by location, department, and user works for many firms. However, some companies need to filter jobs by custom attributes like job type (full time vs contractor), region, or brand.

Now you can filter jobs by any custom job field you create in JobScore:

You can easily save custom job filters and share them with teammates who need to use them.

Pay transparency compliance legislation was passed throughout the United States in 2022. On Jan 1, 2023 California, Colorado, Washington State, and New York City will all require employers to include compensation information for jobs. Here’s how JobScore is handling pay compensation:

  1. We’ve added a card for pay transparency to the compliance page in the JobScore administrative console:

    Control pay transparency compliance

  2. When you edit your pay transparency compliance settings you can make public compensation required or not for different locations:

Edit pay transparency compliance settings for jobs

Starting with California and Washington on Jan 1, 2023 as new laws go into effect, compensation information will be automatically required for jobs in the locations they govern. You can make compensation information required sooner if you prefer.

After it’s automatically turned on, the setting to require public compensation information for different locations can be turned off, but doing so may open you up to fines. Also, some job boards will not post jobs in some locations if compensation information is missing.

Moving forward, as pay transparency laws are passed in new locations in 2023 and beyond, we plan to do things the same way: making public compensation information required, then giving you the option to relax the requirement on the compliance page if you need to.

The pay transparency compliance control is only visible to customers using the new user experience.

If you need to add public compensation information to many jobs to be compliant, please contact support@jobscore.com for details on how we can help.

Bulk emails are a great way to keep candidates warm by sharing what’s new at your company, notifying them of new job opportunities, and more.

You can now send bulk email to multiple candidates in JobScore’s new user experience. Start by visiting the candidate manager. Check the rows for the candidates you want to email, then select the bulk email button at the top of the table:

Send bulk email to candidates

From here select an email template or write a custom email. You can mass customize messages by inserting placeholders for the candidate’s name, job information, and more:

Compose bulk recruiting emails with placeholders

The new filters on the candidate manager make it easy to build a custom list of candidates and email everyone with a few clicks.

Bulk emails can only be sent using connected Google Workspace or Microsoft identities.

The New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL) has a salary transparency provision that goes into effect on November 1, 2022. Details and guidance about the salary transparency law can be found here.

JobScore has included functionality to show public compensation data for some time. All jobs in JobScore in New York, NY, United States now require a minimum and maximum value for public compensation range:

How JobScore requires pay ranges for jobs in New York City

The law stipulates that employers must include both a minimum and a maximum, so you can’t publish, for instance, “$50,000 and up.” The law also applies to remote jobs where you may hire people who live in New York City.

Given the rate at which pay transparency laws are being passed across the United States, to avoid fines we recommend considering including public compensation data for all of your jobs, or at least all of your remote jobs.

We have a nickname for the activity report in JobScore: the “what got done” report. People mostly use the report to track the team’s throughput and focus on top priorities.

The report shows how workflow stage exits, making it easy to see how many candidates were reviewed, interviews were completed, and hires in a time period.

What we’ve added is the ability to report on how many candidates entered workflow stages. This shows things like how many candidates were added to the pipeline, the number of scheduling requests sent, and offers made in a given week or month.

Activity report showing candidate workflow stage exits

So the report can now show “what got started” in addition to “what got done.” We hope this view helps you identify even more opportunities to improve your hiring.

When you run a confidential search you often need to hide interview details from prying eyes. Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook make this easy by allowing you to make calendar events private.

In JobScore you can now make calendar events private using the event visibility control:

Event visibility works on both the Google and Microsoft platforms, and you can pre-select event visibility using task templates.
